Visual Web Developer Express 2008 - Javascript Debugging - not in
am 29.01.2008 12:32:01 von PhilJohnson
Hi,
I just installed Visual Web Developer Express 2008 for the Javascript
Debugging functionality.
I browsed to an ASP.NET 1.1 website running on my localhost and hit a
Javacript error.
I clicked yes to debug, but VS Web Dev Express 2008 is not in the list!
How do I get it in the list, or is there a reason it will not show?
Thanks.

See if this helps :
http://blogs.msdn.com/rajeshbhutani/archive/2007/04/10/debug ging-jscript-code-in-ie-using-vwd-express.aspx
Also, the website must be a VWD 2008-created website,
in order for VWD 2008's debugging to kick in.

Thanks for the info Juan,
If I install the full version of Visual Studio 2008, will that appear in my
list of javascript debuggers?
I currently have the Microsoft Script Editor and Visual Studio 2003 in the
list.

Thanks Mark,
I will install it then... I've got licenses with my MSDN subscription but
didn't want to bog down my dev box with the whole application if I could get
away with the smaller express edition.
