IPod Docking Station interface; or Zune

I need to develop a "docking station" simulator for Apple IPod in .NET.
The PC acting as a development station connects to the IPod docking station
using a parallel port.

Where is this software available ?
Where can I find the Ipod docking station specs?

as an alternative, is a "docking station" library available in .NET?

As you may or may not know, Apple is even more proprietary than Microsoft.
If you want information about connecting an Apple product to Microsoft
Windows, I recommend searching the Apple website for it. My guess is that
you have to download an SDK of some kind, and you may have to register as a
developer, and you may have to pay for that privilege (you do for the iPhone
development capability).
