RE: Enter Password Dialog when opening IIS Manager

i have only seen this dialog for custom MMCs (*.msc files created by user).

in other words, there should not be any prompts if you run IIS Manager from
Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > IIS Manager.

however, if you are using a custom MMC, you can get rid of the diaglog this
way:

1) open your custom MMC (MSC file).
2) remove the IIS snap-in.
3) save and close the MMC.
4) open the same MMC again.
5) re-add the IIS MMC snap-in - BUT DO NOT CLICK ON IT!
6) save the MMC again.

after that, the snap-in seems to reset itself and stop prompting.
