Lost the settings for this newsgroup?

Lost the settings for this newsgroup?

am 15.04.2008 05:09:00 von sheetrum

my comp went belly up and after I re-installed everything, I can not for the
life of me remember the configuration to integrate this site with Outlook
Express. I know in the past I've clicked on links and such to add a
newsgroup to OE.

Any ideas???????

The news server is "msnews.microsoft.com" - create this under Tools >
Accounts > News.

Then look for the group by clicking "Newsgroups" button on the mail tool
bar.

Search can be done on for example a key word like "frontpage". Select the
relevant group, and click
"Subscribe" - it will appear under the newsserver.

Click the group, and it will load the messages.

This should read "...click on MAIN tool bar".

Then look for the group by clicking "Newsgroups" button on the mail tool
> bar.

OK now that I have the right settings/name for the newsgroup, I've keep
getting a notice "Unable to connect to server" to download the list of
available newsgroups.

???

Ironically, the MS news servers experienced an outage. They are now back
up.
