#1: Adding Some Text Between Two Consecutive <option> Tags in a Form?

Posted on 2008-04-16 05:46:09 by Maria

I need to place some text between two consecutive "<option>" tags of a
form.
I would like something like the setting below.
I need the user to be able to see some separation text,
like "FONTS" below.
This text should not be clickable.
How do I do it?

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

<form>
.....
<option class="bounds" value="clipart">Clipart</option>
FONTS
<option class="brenda" value="fonts">Font</option>
.....
</form>

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Thank you!

Use the <optgroup> element. (I have not tried it with MS browsers; it
might work.)
Or you could add the "disabled" attribute to the labeling <option>.

Thank you, Jim. It works fine with both Firefox and IE.
