Reportviewer Grouping
am 18.04.2008 01:13:00 von Madison
Hi there,
I'm using framework 2 reportviewer. I would like to have in the group header
say something like 'Group A' for the first page and if continue to second
page say something like 'Continue Group A...' I will have any groups in the
report, it's be nice to print each page if continue from the page before. Any
idea to do that. Thanks.

Hello Madison,
You can add the following expression to the textbox:
=iif(Globals!TotalPages > 1,"Group A Continue...","Group A")
The logic here is:
if the total page number of the report is larger than 1, display "Group A
Continue...", otherwise, show "Group A".
If you then get an error "These global variables can be used only in the
page header and page footer" when you compile the project, it is because
these global object can only be used in page header or footer. The
workaround is to use a Custom Code section. Please refer to the forum post:

If you have any other concerns or questions, feel free to let me know.
