RE: Installed 5.10, need to re-install packages? (sanket vaidya)
RE: Installed 5.10, need to re-install packages? (sanket vaidya)
am 11.06.2009 23:03:10 von Phillip Richcreek
Sanke,
After reading your reply, I went back through some of the 5.10
installation doc and found out about ppmprofile. So I temporarily
reverted to 5.8 and ran ppmprofile to save the list of packages I'd
installed under 5.8. Then I re-installed 5.10 and ran ppmprofile
restore, which picked up most of the packages previously installed
under 5.8.
Thanks for you help,
Phil

Hi Phil,
It would be great if you post a step by step guide of what you did.
This problem is quite common & would be very helpful to anyone who upgrades
Perl.
Thanks & Regards,
Sanket Vaidya
