I'm not sure if any MySQL employees monitor this list.

Filemaker claim that there is a partnership
www.filemaker.com/support/technologies/mysql.html
between Filemaker and MySQL.

However Filemaker is still specifying MySQL Connector / ODBC 3.51.14 (this
dates back to March 2007) as being the latest supported version, but
v3.51.27 (Nov. 2008) is the latest version of 3.51, not 3.51.14 -- i.e. a
number of bugs have been fixed since 3.51.14 in 2007 -- and the 5.1
connector seems to have been stable (non-beta) since 5.1.3 (March 2008), and
is now up to 5.1.6 (it appears that this new 5.1 connector obsoletes the
3.51 version that Filemaker recommends).

If there is a partnership between Filemaker and MySQL then surely Filemaker
should not be continuing to recommend only a buggy -- and possible even
obsolete -- version of the connector as the only version that they
support... It seems that later versions of the connector fix important
issues with Filemaker UTF-8 export/conversion, for example.

I don't work for either company, but I interpreted it not as a partnership,
rather FileMaker saying that it will work. I can confirm MyODBC v5.1 works
with FileMaker, at least the limited things I've done with it.
