Im using xampp with apache but they both have htdocs folders. Which one do =

Find your configuration file, and look for the DocumentRoot directive.

Use the one in the installation-directory.
..\xammp\htdocs

You'll see some files there instead of only one index as it appear in
..\xammp\apache\htdocs
