Silly: Update 2.2.13 to 2.2.15 on Windows

Hi!

I have apache 2.2.13 installed on Windows XP and now I want to update to 2.2.15.

downloaded .../httpd/binaries/win32/httpd-2.2.15-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi,
started it, but is says:

ah, the dialog text is not copyable
in short : another version in installed, use Control Panel to remove it...

So, what is the official way to update?
Uninstall old version, then install new?
Will setting remain untouched?

Also, this is not true:
"This means it should be safe to install Apache over an existing installation,"

This is written at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/platform/windows.html

Regards,
David
