GD: libgd was not built with FreeType font support

GD: libgd was not built with FreeType font support

am 01.12.2010 15:33:44 von Sammueller.Manfred

Hello,

when I try to set a font in GD like
$graph->set_title_font('C:/windows/Fonts/arial.ttf', 16)
I get the folowing error:
libgd was not built with FreeType font support
and the font is not used.
My enviroment is as follows

Windows 2008 R2
Perl 10.8. ActivePerl 5.10.1 Build 1007
GD: 2.44
GD:Text 0.86
GD:TextUtil 0.86

Maybe someone has an idea.
Thank you very much

Manfred Sammüller

Yes. I reported this bug like 2 or 3 years ago. It's already (and still) on =

the bug waiting list of Active State.

You can upgrade you GD version using PPM and that will solve it. However, i=
f =

you do that, then you probably will lose the ability to rotate images, whic=
h =

is the one thing that the core GD from Active State can do that the others =

can't.

Cheers,

Francisco
