RE: Issues with auto assembling or RAID10 (imsm) on boot
am 20.06.2011 22:19:27 von Sandra Escandor
I just want to make sure I mention this if this is important: I built
this from source and then I ran make install. I couldn't see any
documentation that would suggest that I had to do anything else in /etc/
(such as an init script - maybe this is what I need? I don't know enough
about the inner workings of Linux just yet).
The following is the complete dmesg that I've got - the last part is
where I manually assemble after boot:

You appear to be doing the right things as a far as mdadm is concerned.
The difference is initramfs vs. full root fs. That suggests that some
kernel module or other piece of the imsm infrastructure isn't getting
installed in your initramfs.
Can you share your complete dmesg? (at least up through the point where
you manually assembly after boot)
