math-currency for 5.12?

math-currency for 5.12?

am 04.10.2011 23:28:40 von Phillip Richcreek

Can someone tell me where to find math-currency for 5.12? I don't find
it in activestate, uwinnipeg, sisyphusion, trouchelle, log4perl, or
bribes. I sent an email to the author, thought it might be worthwhile
to ask here as well.

TIA,
Phil

Doesn't it run by placing the code directly into c:/Perl/site/lib or whatev=
er directory you use for Perl lib? It should work unless it actually needs =
to build compiled components (dlls and stuff).

Hello Phillip,

Math::Currency fails its tests on Windows for any version of Perl (not only Windows, it fails on other systems too: PASS
(275) FAIL (156) NA (14) UNKNOWN (3))
You should contact author and ask him if he has plans for fixing this.
Once fixed, this module will appear in repositories.

If you don't want to wait, you can try "perl Build.PL / Build / Build install" way. It's pure-perl, you'll have no
problem with installing it yourself (other than it's failing their own tests, which indicates that this module may fail
for you in production environment).

Paco and Serguei thanks for your replies.

I'm going to try using a different module, Data::Money. I have a
question about it, which I will post separately.

Phil
