Hey Madhu...i wish i had System permissions...anyway..
i tried that too...
but the same error...if you look at the error

t/00base............install_driver(mysql) failed:
Can't load 'blib/arch/auto/DBD/mysql/mys
ql.so' for module DBD::mysql: ld.so.1: /usr/bin/perl:
fatal: libz.so.1: open failed: No su
ch file or directory at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00503/sun4-solaris/DynaLoader.pm
line 169.

Its trying to look for it in usr/bin/perl...where i
cannot install it..i set the path to my private
lib...but that doesnt help too..

I am not sure whether i can install the DBD::MYSQL
without the sys permissions...i hope some one comes up
with a NO and a good reason so that i can go to my
system admin...for permissions.
