I installed Apache 2 on my windows 2000 OS with the typical installation.
But when I try to open a localhost webpage a kernel error appears. Does
anyone have some experience with Apache running under win2k? Thanks
I'm running 2.0.39 on my Win2K (SP2) laptop -- runs like a charm.
A few things:
- if you have IIS installed, did you turn it off (or make sure it's running
on a different port)? Check in Control Panel:Administrative Tools:Internet
Services Manager, and check the settings for 'Default Web Site'
- is this a fresh install of Apache?
- does it work if you try a different browser (or check from a different
machine?)
