BUG: mysqladmin -E dumps core

BUG: mysqladmin -E dumps core

am 04.10.2002 17:29:24 von Paul DuBois

The -E (--vertical) option for mysqladmin seems problematic. I'm
unable to give a precise characterization of just how, but these are
some of the behaviors I see in different systems when running this
command:

mysqladmin -E extended-status

Possible outcomes I've seen:

1) runs just fine
2) Bus error immediately before printing any output
3) Segmentation fault after printing output

I see this in 4.0.5, but not in 4.1.0. (Maybe that's a clue, because
mysqladmin.c seems identical in the two distributions.)

How-to-repeat:

Run:
mysqladmin -E extended-status
