broken command arguments parsing

broken command arguments parsing

am 11.11.2002 23:14:51 von mmokrejs

Hi,
this is suspicious (mysql-BK20021104-debug, Linux):

How-To-Repeat:

$ mysqladmin flush-tables
$ mysqladmin flush-t
mysqladmin: Unknown command: 'flush-t'
$ mysqladmin flush-ta
$ mysqladmin flush-tab
$ mysqladmin flush-tabl
$ mysqladmin flush-table
$ mysqladmin flush-tableeee
$

I guess it's doing in all those cases flush-tables.

BTW: I remember about 2 months ago I've been deleting a database
"-hhostname", where hostname was the name our our mysql server.
I guess it got created through

mysqladmin -hhostname create
or
mysqladmin create -hhostname

(maybe the database was/wasn't specified). Just another place in
sources where you might want to look into.

Hi,

Peharps because flush-t is ambiguous (could be flush-table or flush-threads)
but not the other syntaxes :)

Regards,
Jocelyn
